Kothawasikandarpur Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in the village of Sikandarpur, near Beniganj. We are based at Harivindar Singh’s place, number 542. Farming in this part of the country is a tough way to make a living, but it is what we know. We decided to get organized because we were tired of being at the mercy of middle-men and high input costs. Now, we work together to source what we need and to sell what we grow. It is a community effort, and most of the members are neighbors who have known each other for years. Our meetings are usually informal, held at the house where we can sit and talk about the current state of the crops. We deal with everything from pests to fluctuating market prices.
