Our place is down in the lower ground floor of KDT Plaza, shop LGF-54. It is right there at Ram Ram Bank Chauraha in Aliganj. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice. We handle a lot of things here, mostly electronics and booking rail tickets for people who do not want to mess with the website themselves. The plaza is usually quite crowded, especially with the bank nearby and all the traffic coming through the crossing. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power acts up, but we have a backup to keep the computers running. It is a small space, filled with wires and some travel forms. We spend a lot of time on the phone or staring at the screen checking for train availability. The morning rush is always the busiest because that is when the ticket bookings open up. You can hear the cars honking outside from the stairs. We have been in this spot for a few years now. Most of our customers are locals who live around Aliganj or people working in the nearby shops. It is not a fancy office, just a practical one with a couple of chairs for people to wait. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background. It gets the job done and we know most of the people who walk through the door. Sometimes we share tea with the guys from the next shop over.
