Our office is tucked away in Raja Bazar, Lucknow, at 231/152 Macca. This part of Madhya Pradesh has a very specific feel to it, quite old-fashioned and busy. The building itself has seen many years, and our space is just one part of it. We have several rows of computers where the team sits and works on various data tasks. It is not a very quiet neighborhood; there is always the sound of rickshaws and vendors outside. We usually have the windows shut to keep the dust out, but you can still hear the city moving. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when carrying boxes. We don't have a big cafeteria, so most of us bring lunch from home in those steel dabbas. We sit together and eat while talking about anything other than work. The walls are painted a simple cream color and we have a few clocks showing different times. It’s a functional space without any unnecessary decorations. We’ve had the same furniture for a long time now. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we all just take a collective sigh until it comes back. It’s just a group of people trying to do their jobs well in a busy part of town. We are used to the rhythm of Raja Bazar and the way things work around here.
