Chintamani Metals

We've been here at X-309 in Anand Socity for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right across from the Colgate Palmolive plant in Bajaj Nagar. The Midc area is always busy, and Waluj has a lot of movement every day. We handle metal work mostly. It’s loud and dusty in the shop, but that’s how it goes when you’re cutting and moving heavy stuff. Some days are slower than others. We get people coming in asking for specific pieces or just looking for advice on what to use for their projects. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just us working in the shed with our tools. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really backed up, making it hard to unload trucks, but we manage. My brother helps out with the accounts when he’s not busy elsewhere. We just try to get the jobs done as they come in. If someone needs something cut to size, we do it right there. It’s honest work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, more shops popping up nearby, but we stay focused on our own pile of scrap and stock. It isn't always pretty, but the metal is solid and we know where everything is kept, even if it looks messy to an outsider. People stop by on their way to other factories. We keep a simple routine here and don't worry about being fancy.
