Shreeji Dressies

Our shop, Shreeji Dressies, is located right in the main part of Bhuj city. It’s a place where everyone seems to know everyone else. The streets are narrow and always full of people, cows, and motorbikes. We have a small space here, and we have packed it with as many clothes as we can. Sometimes it feels a bit like a maze. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. We just have the clothes on hangers and some in boxes on the floor. It’s a very local way of doing things. We have been here for many years and have seen the city change quite a bit around us. The dust can be a problem in the dry months, so we are always dusting off the shelves. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who have been working together for a long time. We drink a lot of water and tea to stay cool during the day. People come in and we chat about the local news while they look around. It’s a very relaxed way of working. We don't use any fancy English or marketing tricks to get people in. They just see our shop while they are out doing their shopping and stop by. It’s a practical life and we are happy enough with how things are going in our corner of Bhuj.
