We’re over at 3/4 Ganesh Bhavan, on Plot No. 58 in Sector-8 of Gandhidham. If you're familiar with Kachchh, you know it’s a place that’s always busy with trade and shipping. Our office is in a standard building among many others in the sector. It’s not a very big space, just a few rooms where we handle our daily business. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and the walls are filled with old calendars and charts. There’s always a teapot on the small stove in the back because we drink a lot of it while we’re working. The furniture is a bit dated, and the desks are usually covered in files and ledgers. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to get the work done and keep track of things. Outside, Sector-8 is usually full of trucks and people moving goods. It can get pretty dusty and hot in Gandhidham, so we keep the fans going all day long. Most of the people who drop by are folks we’ve known for years, so it’s more like a community than just a place of business. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning, do our work, and close up in the evening. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the local scene here in Kachchh. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just keep going by the window light until it returns.
