Priya Cement

Our place is at 163-35 on Railway Station Road. Being in S S Colony puts us in a very busy part of town. Since we are so close to the station, there is always a lot of noise and people moving around. Priya Cement is the name on the door. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the people who need cement for their construction sites nearby. It isn't a glamorous job. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on truck arrivals. The station road is usually packed, so getting deliveries out can be a real headache sometimes. We just deal with it one day at a time. The office itself is small and practical. We have a few ledgers and a computer that sometimes acts up. People from S S Colony stop in just to chat or ask about prices. We try to give them a straight answer. There’s no point in making things complicated. We have a small crew here, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s cleaning the front or fixing a leak in the roof. Living and working near the railway means you always hear the trains, which becomes a sort of background music for us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cement. It’s what we know best. Sometimes the trains are delayed, and that affects our workers getting here, but we always find a way to manage the workload.
