Sri Raghavendra Traders

Our place, Sri Raghavendra Traders, is located right on SBI Road in Aspari. Being near the bank means there’s always people walking by. It’s a good spot for a trading business. The building isn't the newest on the block, but it serves its purpose for us. We keep a variety of items that the local farmers and residents look for every week. It gets a bit crowded inside when a new shipment arrives from the city. Boxes are stacked nearly to the ceiling in some corners. Sometimes it takes us a minute or two to find exactly what someone is looking for among the piles. We don't use any high-tech tracking, just our memory and a few handwritten notes in the big ledger on the wooden counter. The street can get noisy with the scooters and the occasional tractor passing by during the harvest time. We like the bustle though. It makes the day feel shorter than it really is. Most of the people who come in have been our customers for a long time. They know we aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them when the sun goes down. There’s a small tea stall next door that we visit twice a day for a break. Working in Aspari has its own pace. It’s not fast like the big cities, but there is always something to do. We just keep our heads down and handle the trade as it comes to us.
