Down here in Veerapoor, things move at their own pace. We are located over at Pudari Raja Gaud’s place, house 1-65, which everyone around Adilabad knows is a pretty straightforward spot to find. We set up Kannepally Kataksham Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited because the farmers in our circle needed a way to get things done without so much back and forth. It is not a formal setup where everyone wears suits. Usually, it is just us in our work clothes, talking about what needs to be planted or how much rain we are actually going to get this season. The name is a bit of a mouthful, but it represents the families around here. We handle the business side of things so the guys out in the fields can focus on the dirt and the plants. It gets really hot out here in Adilabad, and some days the work feels like it never ends. We just do what we can with what we have. People stop by 1-65 to check in on prices or just to see who is around. It is a group effort, really. Nobody is trying to get rich quick, we just want to make sure the farming stays sustainable for the kids later on. It is a local operation through and through. Nothing fancy or polished, just us working together in the village to keep things moving. It is a quiet life but we stay busy.
