Pennaiyar Horticulture Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our spot is at 252/2 in Dhatrahalli Village. We are part of the Krishnagiri Taluk, an area that’s pretty well known for its horticulture. Most of us have been growing fruit and other plants for our whole lives. We decided to join up as Pennaiyar Horticulture Farmers to help each other manage things. The village is a quiet spot, and our office is just a plain building where we do our bookkeeping. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a big city. We have a lot of work to do every day, from checking the trees to making sure the transport is ready. Dhatrahalli is a small community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We like it that way because it means we can trust the people we work with. We don't have a mission statement or any of those corporate things you see in the news. We just focus on the plants and the dirt. The road out here can be a bit bumpy, especially after it rains. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather because it’s the most important thing for us. We aren't trying to be anything other than what we are. We are just farmers who wanted to organize a bit better. We hope to keep doing this for many more years right here in Krishnagiri. It is a long journey but we keep moving.
