Maniyan Blue Metals

We are located out in Bargur Village. It’s a quiet place mostly, except for when the machines are running. Blue metals are what we do. It’s basically crushing stones and making sure the sizes are right for whatever someone is building. It’s a dusty job, there’s no way around that. We spend our days out in the yard. My uncle started this a long time ago and now we just keep it going. There are a few trucks that come in and out every day. We know all the drivers by name. We don't have a website or any of those things. Most people just know where we are. If you drive through the village, you can't miss the piles of gravel. We work according to the weather. If it rains too hard, we have to slow down. Otherwise, it’s a steady pace from Monday to Saturday. We don't talk much while working because it's too loud anyway. We just use hand signals mostly. When the day ends, we wash up and sit for a bit before heading back to our houses in the village. It's a simple life. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just provide the materials that people need to build their walls and roads. It’s hard on the hands but it’s what we know how to do best. We keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the piles to make sure the size is right.
