Aimkart Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our place is out in Arasakuppam, which is part of the Denkanikotta taluk in Krishnagiri district. The address is 221 Arasakuppam, though things aren't always marked that clearly out here. It’s a beautiful area with a lot of greenery, but farming here has its own set of challenges. We set up Aimkart as a producer company so the farmers in this area could have a bit more collective power. It’s mostly just us locals working together. We aren't some big enterprise with offices in Chennai; we are right here where the crops are grown. The office is really just a meeting point where people can come and talk about what they’re growing or what troubles they’re having with the weather or the pests. We do our best to keep track of everything, but sometimes the paperwork gets a bit behind. Life in Krishnagiri moves at its own pace, and we try to stick to that. We don’t use any corporate jargon or try to sound like something we aren't. We’re just a bunch of people who know a lot about the land trying to make sure we don't get left behind. It’s not always easy to get everyone on the same page, but we’re a patient lot. We just keep at it, one day at a time, right here in Arasakuppam, helping out where we can and hoping for good rain.
