Godway Furnicrafts

Our shop, Godway Furnicrafts, is situated at 27-1-25 on Eluru Road. We are very close to the Apsara Theatre, which is how most people find us when they are coming from out of town. The theatre is a big local landmark, so we just tell everyone to look for that. Working on Eluru Road means there is a lot of dust and noise from the traffic, but you get used to it after the first few weeks. We spend most of our time out back where we work on the furniture. It’s a lot of sawing, hammering, and staining, so the place usually smells like wood and varnish. We don’t have a massive showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a workshop where you can see the pieces being put together. Sometimes we have finished items sitting near the front, but often things are half-done as we work through our list. It’s just a small crew of us here. We don’t have any fancy uniforms or a front desk person. If you walk in, you’ll probably find one of us with a tape measure or a pencil behind our ear. We just like making furniture that lasts and fits what people need for their homes. It’s a bit of a messy job, but we enjoy the process of turning raw wood into something useful. We keep things pretty simple and just worry about the quality of the build.
