We are located out in Perambra at a place called Koothali. The address is 311, Kudiyadankandi, which is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main Kozhikode city. It is much quieter out here though, which suits what we do. We decided to set up the yoga school in a more relaxed environment rather than a noisy urban center. The building is simple and doesn't have any of those big neon signs you see elsewhere. Inside, we have enough space for people to gather and move around. It is not a luxury studio with expensive lighting or anything. It is just a floor and some fans to keep the air moving on hot Kerala afternoons. We get quite a bit of dust because of the road nearby, so we are often sweeping up before we start. Most of the people who come here are from around the neighborhood. We know everyone by name and it feels more like a community spot than a business. We don't follow any corporate schedules or strict rules. If someone is late, they just join in. We have a few old mats in the corner for anyone who forgets theirs. It is a very casual atmosphere and we like it that way. Life in Perambra moves at its own pace and we have just settled into that rhythm over the years. No one is in a hurry here.
