Govt: Polytechnic College

This is the Government Polytechnic College located up here in Meenangadi, Wayanad. Being in Kerala, we get a whole lot of rain, so the campus stays quite green for most of the year. We have various departments where students learn practical skills like mechanics and electronics. It’s a government-run place, so things move at their own pace sometimes, and there is always plenty of paperwork to do. You’ll find students walking around in their workshop clothes, often with grease on their hands from working on the machines. The labs are filled with all kinds of old and new equipment that we use for the daily practical classes. It’s a busy place from the morning until the late afternoon. We have a lot of local people from Wayanad coming here, and some of the students stay nearby in hostels. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed but there’s always something that needs to be done in the workshops. We don't have a lot of fancy office space, just the staff rooms and the administration area where all the records are kept. Meenangadi is a small enough town that everyone knows where the polytechnic is. We just try to keep the machines running properly and make sure the students learn what they actually need for their future jobs. It’s honest work, and the faculty here is mostly just regular people who know their trade well. We’ve been part of this community for quite a while now, tucked away in the 673591 zip code area, just doing our thing.
