Chain Survey School

Up in Thamarassery, we have the Chain Survey School. Our address is Tp8 1209, and we are quite easy to find in this part of Kozhikode. This isn't your typical school where kids are learning ABCs. We deal with surveying, so you will often see people out with chains and measuring tools. It is a more hands-on kind of place. The building is simple, mostly just a place to store the equipment and hold some theory classes. We spend a lot of time outdoors. Thamarassery has some interesting land, so it is a good place to learn the trade. The people who come here are usually looking to learn a specific skill. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. Most of what we have are charts and old survey maps. The floors are a bit worn from all the boots coming in and out. It is a working environment. Our instructors are people who have spent years out in the field. They don't talk like professors; they talk like workers. We drink a lot of tea and spend our days looking at numbers and boundary lines. It is a quiet, focused atmosphere. We don't do much marketing or promotion. People usually find us through word of mouth when they want to learn how to survey land properly. It is just a practical school for a practical job.
