Kidstowm Pre School

Kidstowm Pre School is situated at 26/154, Kallittanda in the Govindapuram area. It’s a modest building, nothing too flashy, but it serves the purpose for the families around here. We’ve got a gate that we keep locked once all the kids are inside for the day. The rooms are painted in bright colors, though some of the paint is starting to chip a little near the floorboards where the kids kick their shoes. We spend a lot of time on the floor playing games and helping them learn their numbers. It gets pretty loud during the middle of the day, but that’s just how it is with a bunch of young children together. We have a small kitchen area where we keep the water and some extra snacks just in case. The street outside can get a bit congested during drop-off and pick-up times because it’s a narrow road. There's a small shop nearby where parents sometimes grab a snack after picking their kids up. The neighborhood is mostly families, so there are always people around watching out for each other. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we walk to work. We’ve seen a lot of kids go through our doors and then see them years later when they’re much bigger. It’s a nice feeling to be part of the community in Govindapuram like that. We don't have a big playground, but we make use of the space we have.
