Thrisangu Haven Hill Resort

Getting up here to Kuttikkanam takes a bit of a drive, but most people seem to find their way eventually. We are situated near Thekkady, right in the middle of all that greenery you expect from this part of Kerala. The weather is usually a bit cooler than down in the plains, which is why people bother coming up the hill in the first place. It gets misty quite often, and sometimes you can hardly see the road in front of you. We’ve been running Thrisangu Haven for a while now. It isn’t some high-rise glass building; it’s more tucked away. The air feels different here, a bit thinner and definitely fresher. We spend a lot of our time just keeping the place tidy and dealing with whatever the mountain weather throws at us. Sometimes the power goes out during a heavy monsoon rain, but we get by. It’s a quiet life compared to the cities. We have neighbors around the P.O., but mostly it’s just the trees and the slope of the hills. People come by when they want to get away from the heat or just to see the view. We don't have a giant team of people, just enough of us to keep things running. It’s a lot of walking up and down the paths. The local area is slow, and we like it that way. No one is ever in a huge rush to go anywhere.
