Hotel Vani

Hotel Vani has been part of Changanacherry for a long time. If you're coming through the Kottayam district, you might have passed us. We sit in a spot that's pretty easy to find. The building is older, so it has that solid feel to it. We don't have those thin walls like the new places. My family and a few others help run the place. We do the cleaning ourselves mostly. It’s not a huge hotel, just enough rooms to keep us busy throughout the week. Sometimes the train station nearby makes it easy for travelers to find us. Changanacherry is a nice town, not too fast but not too slow either. We get a lot of people staying here for weddings or local festivals. The rooms are basic. We provide towels and soap, the usual stuff. We don't have a website with a bunch of fake photos. What you see when you walk in is what you get. The 686101 area is pretty familiar to us. We know where the good tea is and which roads are blocked for construction. If you stay here, you’re basically staying in a regular local house that happens to have extra rooms. We try to keep the noise down at night so everyone can sleep. It's just a normal way of living for us here. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a simple place to stay for the night and move on.
