Working out of Kovathipady in Ettumanoor has its ups and downs. Being at number 57 means we’re right in the middle of everything that happens in this part of town. The traffic on the main road can be a real headache in the mornings, especially when the school buses are out. We spend a lot of our time looking at plans and dealing with local stuff. Our office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s got a few chairs that creak and a fan that makes a clicking sound on high speed. We’ve thought about fixing it, but you get used to the noise after a few months. Most of the guys here have been around for a long time. We know the local shopkeepers by name and usually grab lunch from the small place around the corner. It's mostly rice and curry every day. We don’t go in for big meetings or fancy presentations. Usually, it’s just a quick chat over a cup of coffee to figure out what needs to happen next. The rainy season is always a bit of a mess because the ground gets muddy around here, but we manage. We aren't a big corporation with thousands of employees. We’re just a small group trying to keep things moving in Ettumanoor. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don’t really have a big secret to how we work; we just show up and do it every day.
