About Sameeer Sewing Machine Works – Industrial Plant & Machines in Kota
If you walk down Dhanmandi New Sabji Mandi Road, you’ll find us among the vegetable stalls and the noise of the market. It’s a busy spot, and the smell of fresh produce is always in the air. Inside the shop, it’s a different story. It smells like machine oil and old metal. We’ve got sewing machines in various states of being taken apart all over the workbenches. Some are old heavy ones that weigh a ton, and others are newer plastic ones that are a bit more finicky to fix. We spend most of our hours hunched over with small screwdrivers and tweezers, trying to get the timing right or unjamming a bobbin. It’s quiet work, even with the shouting from the market outside. People bring their machines in wrapped in old blankets or carried in plastic crates. We tell them to leave them for a few days so we can really get into the gears. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and some metal shavings. We have a few stools for customers to sit on if they’re just waiting for a quick adjustment, but usually, it’s just us working through the pile of repairs. It’s been this way for years. The road gets muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a chore to get in and out, but we don’t mind much. It’s just how the market life goes.
