Anand Motors

Anand Motors is located at New Motor Market 34. We’ve got a spot right in the thick of the market. It’s mostly a garage where we take in cars that need some kind of work done. There’s always a layer of grease on the floor, no matter how much we sweep it up. We have a few lifts and a lot of heavy tool chests filled with wrenches and sockets. It’s noisy because of the air compressors and the impact wrenches going off at all hours. We spend most of our time under vehicles or leaned over an engine bay trying to fix something. Sometimes we find a problem that’s really tricky, and it takes us a whole afternoon just to figure out what’s wrong. That can be frustrating, but it’s the job. The office is just a small partitioned area with a desk and some old chairs for customers to sit while they wait for their cars. It’s not very comfortable, but most people prefer to stand outside and watch us work anyway. We don't do much advertising at all. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they were already in the market for something else. We keep a stash of old rags and oil cans in the corner by the back door. It’s a rough and ready kind of place. We just focus on getting the cars back on the road so folks can go home. It's what we do here.
