Our shop, Power Tools And Services, is tucked away in the Paliwal Compound over in Chhawni Ram Chandra Pura. We occupy the 109/111 units. It’s an old area, and the buildings have seen a lot of years. We spend our days surrounded by tools of all shapes and sizes. Sometimes the floor is a bit oily, and there’s always a smell of grease in the air. That’s just the way it is when you’re fixing things. We don't spend money on fancy paint or decorations. We'd rather just have the right equipment to do the work. The compound can get a bit crowded with vehicles, so parking is sometimes a headache for people coming to see us. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the noise anymore. My brother and I usually handle most of the walk-ins. We aren't big on talking; we’d rather just look at what’s broken and see if it can be saved. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It’s a basic setup, nothing like those big showrooms you see in the city. We just stay here in Chhawni Ram Chandra Pura and do what we can. People know where to find us when their gear stops working. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. We don't need anything more than that.
