Down in Kota Junction, inside the Choth Mata Ki Gali, is where Munshi Bhai Nadim Ahmad Tools is located. It is a narrow street, and you have to watch your head with all the signs hanging low. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with every kind of tool you can imagine. We have got wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, and things I do not even know the names of sometimes. It is a family-run kind of place, and we have been in this gali for a long time. You can hear the trains whistling from the junction nearby, which reminds us of how many people pass through this area every day. When the temple nearby has a festival, the whole street gets even more crowded, and we sometimes just stand at the door watching the crowds. We do not have much in the way of light, so we use a few bright bulbs to help us find what people are looking for in the back corners. It is a bit cramped, and if two people come in at once, one usually has to wait outside. We treat everyone the same, whether they are buying one small nail or a whole set of power tools. There is no pressure here; we just show you what we have and let you decide. It is a traditional way of doing business, based on knowing our stock and being part of the neighborhood for many years.
