Diamond Board is down at 132 Station Road, inside Raniwala House. It is an old building with a lot of character, and we have been set up here for a long time. Being near the station means there is a lot of foot traffic and people always rushing to catch a train. The air around here always feels a bit heavy with the smell of the railway and the dust from the boards we keep in stock. We handle a lot of heavy lifting during the day, moving sheets of board around and organizing the stacks. The lighting in the back isn't the best, but we know our way around the piles of material. Raniwala House itself is a well-known landmark for locals, so people don't usually have trouble finding us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just dealing with whoever walks in off the street. It is the kind of place where you get dusty just by standing around for ten minutes. We don’t use any big fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a notebook. Sometimes the trains going by make the windows rattle a little bit. It is a simple operation and we just try to keep the boards moving out the door. We aren't trying to be the biggest place on the road, just a steady shop that stays open and does its part.
