Hotel Shere Punjab

You can find us on Khai Road in the Nayapura area. Hotel Shere Punjab is an older building, and it has its share of quirks. The stairs creak a little and the paint is peeling in a few corners. We spend most of our time changing linens and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever might show up. It’s not a five-star place, just a decent spot to stay for a night or two. The Khai Road is quite central, so we get people traveling for all sorts of reasons. We have a small kitchen area where we make basic meals. The tea is always hot, at least. We sit behind the front desk and wait for the bell to ring. Nayapura is a busy part of town, but inside the hotel, it’s relatively quiet. We try to keep the lobby swept, though people track in a lot of dirt from the street. It’s a lot of work to keep an old place like this running. We do the repairs ourselves most of the time. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the shortcuts around Nayapura. It’s a simple life running a hotel on Khai Road. We don’t ask for much, just a steady flow of guests and enough rain to keep the dust down. Sometimes the nights are long when we have late check-ins, but we just make another pot of tea and wait. It’s what we’ve always done at this address.
