Semiliguda (Junior) College

We’ve been here in Semiliguda for a good while now. Koraput is a quiet place mostly, but the college gets pretty busy when classes start in the morning. You’ll see students walking up the road from the bus stop or just hanging around the front gate before the bell rings. It’s a junior college, so it’s mostly just the younger crowd trying to figure out what they want to do next. The building isn't fancy or anything, just a normal place with classrooms and some old desks that have seen better days. We try to keep things organized, but on rainy days, everything gets a bit messy with the mud. People know where we are, right here in the 764036 zip code area. It’s nothing like those big city schools you see on TV. We’ve got a few trees on the grounds that give some shade during the hotter months, which is nice for the staff during lunch breaks. Most of us have lived around here our whole lives, so we know the families and the kids coming through. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit by the windows to get enough light to read. It’s just how it is. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. It’s just a school in the middle of Semiliguda where people come to learn their subjects and then head home to help their parents or hang out with friends.
