Down near the Jeypore K Railway Station in Koraput, you will find Binayak College. The sound of the trains passing by is something we have all gotten used to over the years. It’s a bit of a landmark for folks in this part of Odisha. We are not a massive university with a huge campus, but we have enough space for the local students to come and learn. The building is simple, painted a plain color, and stands right there near the tracks. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual college stuff—admissions, class schedules, and making sure the exams go off without a hitch. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when the students arrive. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves because we are just people from the local area working here. Some of our staff have been with us since the beginning. We've seen the rain wash over the station and the sun bake the ground, and through it all, we just keep teaching. The library is a quiet spot, though you can still hear the whistle of the train every now and then. We don't have much in the way of expensive extras, but we have a lot of heart and a commitment to the people of Koraput. It is a humble place, and we are fine with that. We just want to make sure the kids have a chance to study without having to travel too far away.
