Ultratec Cement

You can find us at number 1 in the Jr Complex. Ultratec Cement is basically just a small spot where we manage orders and get things moved out to customers. Being in the complex means there’s always something happening nearby, which is nice. We aren't a massive factory, more like a local point where people can come to get what they need for their building projects. The space is a bit cramped with all the bags stacked up, but we make it work. Most of the day is spent checking inventory and talking to drivers. We don't have a corporate style at all; we’re just regular people working a job. Sometimes we forget to lock the back gate, or the ledger gets a bit messy, but we always figure it out. It’s a practical business for practical people. We don’t do any big advertising campaigns. If someone in the area needs cement, they usually know to come to the Jr Complex. It gets pretty loud when the loading is happening, but that’s just part of the day. We try to be helpful when people ask questions, even if we don’t always have the fastest answers. It’s just us doing our best with what we have here. We often have to rearrange the stacks when a new delivery comes in, which is quite a workout for everyone on the shift.
