Amigos Cement

Amigos Cement is tucked away in JP Nagar, Karatagi. We are at 5-17-24, which is a fairly easy spot to find if you know the area. It’s basically a storage and supply point where we spend our hours shifting heavy bags and dealing with contractors. The yard is usually covered in that thin grey dust that comes with this line of work. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a place that sells cement to people building houses or fixing up walls around town. The staff here consists of a few local guys who know their way around a loading dock. It gets pretty loud when the shipments arrive, but that is just part of the routine. We don't have a big front office with air conditioning. Instead, we have a small desk and a lot of floor space for the stock. If the sun is out, it gets hot inside the warehouse, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. People stop by, ask about prices, and we tell them what we have in stock at the moment. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. Karatagi is a growing place, so there is always someone needing material for a new floor or a compound wall. We just keep the doors open and make sure we don’t run out of bags when someone shows up with a tractor or a small truck.
