Our little corner is Room A4/9 in the Vidyanagar Township. If you know anything about Toranagallu, you know it’s a hub for the steel industry. We are part of the Jsw Steels Limited setup here in Bellary, Karnataka. The township is a busy place, filled with people who are all pretty much doing the same thing. Our office is functional and maybe a little bit crowded with all the paperwork we have to keep. We don't have any big leather chairs or fancy art on the walls. It’s mostly just calendars and notes stuck to the desks. The weather out here is usually hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working. You can always hear the low hum of the plant in the distance, but after a few weeks, you don't even notice it anymore. We start our mornings with the same routine of checking the overnight logs and seeing what the trucks are doing. The pin code is 583275. It’s a very practical way to live and work. We see the same faces at the local canteen every day, which is nice. We aren't doing anything flashy, just the steady work of managing steel logistics. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait around, but that’s just life here. We just keep at it, making sure everything runs as smooth as it can.
