Toranagallu Village is where you will find our works, specifically in the Vijay Nagar area at Vidhyanagar. It’s a massive place, and sometimes it feels like a whole city of its own. J.S.W. Steel Ltd. has been part of this landscape for a long time. There is smoke and heat and the sound of metal being moved around all day and night. It’s not the kind of place for someone who likes peace and quiet. Most of us here are used to the heavy boots and the safety gear we have to wear every single day. The village has changed a lot since the works started growing. You see people from all over coming here for work. The shifts are long, and the work is definitely tough. We aren't sitting in soft chairs; we’re out on the floor or near the furnaces. It’s a lot of responsibility to keep everything running without a hitch. The scale of the operations here at Toranagallu is something you have to see to really understand. We just focus on the steel and the processes that make it. There’s a lot of logistics involved, with trains and trucks coming in constantly. It’s a busy, loud, and very hot environment. We just do our jobs and try to stay safe while we're at it. It’s a big part of the local economy around here and it keeps many families going.
