Akshara Applainix Company

Akshara Applainix Company is located right on Jawahar Road in Koppal. It’s a busy street most of the time with lots of noise. We handle all sorts of home appliances here. If something breaks, people bring it in for us to look at. The shop is full of spare parts and tools scattered around the floor. It’s not the cleanest place because there is always some work going on. We have a couple of guys who are really good with their hands. They spend most of the afternoon fixing mixers or grinders while the radio plays some local music in the background. Koppal can get quite dusty, so we have to wipe the counters every few hours to keep things decent. Jawahar Road has a lot of traffic, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading back home. Sometimes people just drop off their machines and tell us to fix whatever is wrong. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. It is a simple life for us. We don't make big promises to anyone. If we can fix it, we do. If we can't, we tell them plainly. The shelves are a bit disorganized, but we know where everything is kept. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have a good ceiling fan. Most of our day is just talking to neighbors and tightening screws. It’s how it’s been for years.
