Shree Durga Traders

We operate out of Radha Nivas in Vadayattukotta. It’s right here in the Kollam district. My family has lived in this area for a long time, so it made sense to set up Shree Durga Traders here. We use part of the building for our office and storage. It’s a bit of a mix between a home and a workplace. You can usually find me at the big wooden desk near the window. I spend most of my day talking to suppliers and checking on orders. We trade in a bit of everything that people around here need. It keeps things interesting. Some days it’s building materials, other days it might be something else. We have a small team, just a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting. The roads in Vadayattukotta can be a bit bumpy, so we have to be careful with the deliveries. We aren't looking to become some giant company. We just want to provide for our families and be useful to our neighbors. It’s a quiet life for the most part. In the evenings, we close up shop and sit out on the porch for a bit before going inside. We don't use much technology, just an old computer and our notebooks. It’s worked for us so far. We know our customers by their first names. It’s a friendly way to do business. We just keep at it every day.
