Starlit Exports

Starlit Exports is located right in the middle of Zakaria Street. Being on the second floor at 47-a means we are slightly away from the constant noise of the street, but you can still hear everything going on. It’s a very old part of the city, and the roads are so narrow that getting things delivered can be a real headache sometimes. We focus on exporting, which involves a lot of coordinating with people you never actually meet in person. Our office is just a couple of rooms with some old ceiling fans and a lot of paper stacked up on the desks. We don't really do the whole corporate thing here. We just show up, drink some hot chai, and start working through the pile of things we need to finish. Some days the heat is really something else, and we all just move a bit slower than usual. We’ve been here at this address for quite a while now, so we know all the neighbors and the local shops pretty well. It’s a lot of manual work, checking boxes and filing papers in the cabinets. We don’t have a website that looks like a movie; we just have our small office and our phones. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. People come and go, and we just keep the export side of things running. It’s just a normal business in a busy part of Kolkata. We don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.
