Ahmed Export

Being at No. 4 Ns Road puts us right in the thick of things. We are on the first floor, which is nice because we don't have to climb too many stairs. Ahmed Export has been in this building for quite some time. Directly across from us is the Bengal Chamber Of Commerce, so it stays pretty busy on this street. Finding a parking spot near here is almost impossible most days. We usually hear the traffic noise all through the afternoon. The office has high ceilings like many of the older buildings in this part of town. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at ledger books. It’s not a very modern setup, but it serves the purpose. Sometimes the lights flicker when it rains hard outside. We have a small corner for making tea and coffee, which keeps us going. Our windows look out onto the street, so we see everyone coming and going from the Chamber. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic. We deal with various exports and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Some of the floorboards creak when you walk on them. It’s got a bit of character, I suppose. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everything is labeled correctly. Not much more to it than that. Most of the people working here live nearby and take the bus.
