Worksphere Architects

Our office is at 301 Joy Apartments on the first floor of Canal Street in Shree Bhumi. Kolkata-48 is a busy spot, and Canal Street always has something going on. Worksphere Architects isn't a huge operation. We share the space with our drawings, our computers, and way too many coffee cups. The first floor of Joy Apartments is a good spot for us. It’s easy to get to, and we’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us. We don't have a big fancy sign or a lobby with a receptionist. You just walk up and find us working at our desks. Most of the time, the air is thick with the sound of keyboards and people arguing over design details. We do a lot of drafting and a lot of site visits. It’s not a glamorous life. It involves a lot of dusty shoes and long meetings about plumbing or electrical layouts. We aren't interested in being a corporate giant. We just like being in Shree Bhumi, doing our work and seeing buildings go up. The office is a bit cluttered, but that’s because we are actually busy. We don't have time to make everything look perfect for a photoshoot. We just focus on the projects. It’s a straightforward way to run an architecture firm, and it suits us just fine here in Kolkata. It is a bit loud and messy, but the work gets finished.
