abin design studio

The studio is on Raja Nabakrishna Street in North Kolkata. It is a very old part of the city, full of history and those narrow lanes that everyone knows. We are at number 33P. The building is one of those traditional ones, and our studio space inside is where we do all our design work. It’s not a polished environment at all. There are sketches pinned to every available inch of wall space, and the tables are always covered in pencils, rulers, and coffee mugs. We spend a lot of time just thinking and drawing. The neighborhood is great because you can step outside and find a tea stall or a sweet shop within a few steps. It gets very loud during festivals, especially with the temples nearby. We don't have a formal reception or a dress code. Most of the time, we’re just in our casual clothes working on the next set of plans. The air in the studio smells like paper and old wood. We have a few computers, but a lot of the initial work is still done by hand. It’s a small team and we’ve been in this part of Kolkata for a while. We don't really bother with big advertising. People just find their way to our door on Raja Nabakrishna Street. It’s a busy, cramped, and creative spot where we just get things done every day without much fuss or bother. It is a bit messy, but that's how we like it.
