Wipro Bpo Ltd

This office is at Ae 394, Sector 1, in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Working at Wipro Bpo Ltd in this part of the city means being around a lot of other offices and people in shirts and trousers. The building is a standard size for this block. We spend our shifts wearing headsets and talking to people on the phone. It can get pretty loud in the room when everyone is talking at once. We have rows of cubicles that all look the same. The carpet is a bit worn in the spots where people walk the most. Salt Lake is a planned area, so the streets are straight, but the traffic still gets bad in the evenings. We have a small break area, but most people just go outside for some air. The work is repetitive and involves a lot of data entry and customer calls. We don't have much say in how things are run; we just follow the schedule. It is a steady job that pays the bills. Sometimes we stay late if the calls keep coming in. The office is kept cool with big air units because it gets so humid in Kolkata. We are just a group of workers trying to keep up with the daily targets. It is not a glamorous life, but we have a good group of people here who help each other out when things get busy. Most of us take the local transport to get to Salt Lake every morning and head back after our shift is done.
