You can find Whitewater Textile Llp over on Rowdon Street. We are based on the 7th floor of the Udayachal Building, which is number 9 on the street. It’s a central part of Kolkata, so it’s easy to get to, though the traffic can be a nightmare in the afternoons. Being on the seventh floor means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the street level. We have a simple office where we handle all our textile business. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of samples. We aren't into fancy office furniture or big wall decorations. We just need a place that works for us. The building has been around for a while, and so have we. We spend most of our time coordinating with suppliers and making sure the numbers are right. It’s not exciting work for most people, but it’s what we know. There’s a small group of us here, and we’ve worked together long enough that we don’t need a lot of rules. We just show up and do what’s required for the day. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the windows rattle, but we just keep at it. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and we like being in this part of town. No big corporate promises, just us working in our space and making sure the shipments go out to whoever needs them. We keep things pretty low-key and focus on the tasks we have on our desks.
