Down in Utra Khalishpurburdwan, you’ll find our place, Bharat Knitting & Textiles. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which we actually prefer. We spend our time working with the machines and making sure the knitting looks right. It’s a quiet area mostly, except for the sound of the equipment running throughout the day. We aren't some massive factory with thousands of workers. It’s a local setup where we try to get things done properly. People around here know us as the place where the textiles get made. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing polished speeches for us. We just know how to handle the yarn and the cloth. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them, but that's part of the trade. We have a small crew and we all know our roles. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space for knitting. We’ve been here for years and we plan to stay. Most of our days are spent checking the quality and packing things up for transport. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning to night. If you’re ever passing through this part of Burdwan, you might see us. We’re usually just busy with the daily production. We keep things simple and focus on the task at hand every single day of the year.
