Vinayak Surya Construction Llp is based over at 187 M. D. Road in Kolkata. We share the space with Prem Kumar & Co, so that is how people usually find us. The area, 700006, is a classic part of West Bengal where things are always moving. Our office isn't anything you would see in a magazine. It’s just a room with enough space for our computers and a big table where we can spread out drawings. There are usually a few half-empty tea cups around by noon. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. We show up early, get the lights on, and start going through what needs doing for the day. Being on M. D. Road means we are right in the middle of everything. It can be a bit chaotic outside with the trucks and the shops, but we like the energy. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at sites, so the office is mostly a place to regroup and handle the paperwork. It’s a small team here, and we all know each other's habits. We just do our work and go home when it’s finished. No one here wears a tie unless they really have to. We prefer just getting on with it.
