Park Palace

You can find Park Palace over on Bonomaliu Ghosal Lane in the Behala area of Kolkata. It is a local place that has been part of the neighborhood for years. We aren't some big chain hotel; it’s more of a community spot where people come for their family events or just to stay when they’re in this part of the city. The lane gets pretty crowded with rickshaws and people walking to the market, so there is always noise and life right outside the door. Inside, we just try to keep everything tidy and functional. We spend a lot of time cleaning the halls and making sure the lights are working. It’s a lot of manual labor, really. The staff here mostly live nearby, so we all know each other well and chat while we go about our chores. Sometimes things break and we have to call the local repairman to come take a look. We don’t use any fancy systems for managing the place. It’s mostly just notebooks and a lot of talking to guests face to face. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a bit of a break when the sun is high before getting back to the evening rush. It is a practical way to run a business, staying close to the ground and making sure the basics are covered every single day. We don’t have any big promises, just rooms and a bit of hospitality.
