Veneta Cucine Kitchens

You can find us at Binoy Bhavan, 27B Camac Street. We are known as Veneta Cucine Kitchens. This is the place where we show people different kitchen setups and talk about how to make a kitchen work better. It’s a bit different from a regular shop because we have all these displays set up. We spend our days showing folks the various cabinets and handles. It’s not a high-pressure environment; we just walk around and talk about what might fit in someone’s house. Camac Street is a busy place, so we get a lot of people just popping in to look. The office part of our space is usually hidden behind a partition and is full of catalogs and fabric samples. We try to keep the showroom looking nice, but sometimes there are fingerprints on the glass or a drawer that’s been opened a hundred times and needs a little adjustment. We aren't interior designers with fancy degrees, just people who have learned a lot about kitchens by being around them every day. We know which hinges last and which surfaces are easy to wipe down. It’s more about the practical side of cooking and living in a house. We talk to people about where they want their sink and how much space they need for their pots. It’s a nice way to spend the day, really, helping people figure out their home space without all the complicated jargon you hear elsewhere.
