Madhab Kristo Sett Lane is where you can find us, at number 3/A. It’s one of those narrow Kolkata lanes where you have to be careful when you walk. The office is right in the middle of the bustle of the 700007 area. It’s a busy part of town, very old-school. We do construction projects as VEDANK NIRMAN LLP, so we are often out and about, but this is where the planning happens. The office itself is small. We have some old metal cabinets for the files and a few desks that have seen better days. It gets quite warm in the summer, and the ceiling fan has to work overtime. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy presentations. If you want to know what we do, we just show you the current projects we are handling. There’s a lot of talk about cement prices and labor availability in this office. We know the local vendors well because we’ve been around for some time. The lane outside is always full of people and small shops. It feels very connected to the city. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We are just a local firm doing our part in the building trade. It’s simple, practical, and sometimes a bit chaotic, but we wouldn't have it any other way. The printer jams occasionally, but we manage to get the invoices out on time and keep things moving along okay.
