VAMSHAJA CONSTRUCTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is based on the 9th floor at 229, A.J.C. Bose Road. This part of Kolkata, 700020, is always moving fast. Up here on the ninth floor, it’s a little quieter, which is nice when we have to focus on complicated building plans. We spend a lot of time looking at structural drawings and talking to engineers. Construction is a tough business because there are so many moving parts. You have to worry about weather, materials, and making sure everyone stays safe on the site. We’ve had our fair share of delays over the years, but we always try to get the job finished. The office is full of sample tiles, bricks, and different kinds of wood. It’s not very tidy, but we know where everything is. We handle the day-to-day operations from here, making calls to suppliers and checking in on our foremen. People come by to discuss their projects, and we usually sit around the big table in the back. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We are just people who like building things and seeing a project go from a hole in the ground to a finished structure. Sometimes we grab lunch from the street vendors downstairs and talk about the next phase of a project. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes and we like the feeling of finishing a project that will stand for a long time.
