Uniworld Trading Company

We open the shutters every morning here at 24/B Badri Das Temple Street. It’s a narrow enough road and the temple nearby always has something going on, which keeps things lively. Uniworld Trading Company has been in this spot for a good while now. The office isn’t much to look at, just some heavy wooden desks and a couple of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We spend most of our time on the phone or writing things down in the big registers. It gets a bit loud when the bells ring next door, but you get used to it after a week. We mostly just handle the daily trade stuff, making sure the papers are in order and the deliveries are moving like they should. There’s a tea stall just down the way that brings us snacks in the afternoon. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don't have fancy carpets or a reception desk with a phone that never stops ringing. It’s just a few of us sitting here, getting through the stack of work on the table. When the sun goes down, we lock up the heavy doors and head home. It’s a simple routine, and it works for us. We know the neighbors and the people who walk past every day. That’s just how it is here in this part of town.
