United Machinery

United Machinery has been operating out of 12 Dalhousie, right on Ganesh Chandra Avenue, for quite some time now. This part of the city is always moving, with all the old buildings and the constant flow of people and vehicles. Our office and storage space are right there in the heart of the business district. We deal with various types of machines and industrial parts that factories and small workshops need. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of inventory. The walls are a bit stained and the floors are worn down from moving crates around, but that’s just how a machinery business looks after a few decades. We aren't trying to be fancy or modern with the decor. Our focus is just on the gear we have in stock. If someone needs a specific part for a lathe or a motor, they usually know to come down to Ganesh Chandra Avenue to check with us. It’s a noisy street, especially in the afternoons, but we like the energy of Dalhousie. It feels like the real center of work in the city. My father started this, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We spend our days answering the phone, checking orders, and making sure the right machinery gets to the right person. It's practical work for practical people, and that's how we've always done it here.
