Taurus Earthmovers Limited is located at 30B, Jyotish Roy Road in New Alipore, Kolkata. We’ve been in this part of West Bengal for quite a while. The office is in one of those older buildings that has a lot of character, but also a few drafts. We are right in the middle of the city's noise and activity. Every day, we deal with the logistics of earth-moving equipment and the needs of various construction projects. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some sturdy desks, a few filing cabinets that are starting to rust at the bottom, and a lot of paperwork. Kolkata has a specific way of doing things, and we’ve adapted to it over the years. We know the local rhythms, the traffic jams, and the way the weather can change everything in an instant. Our staff is local, and we don’t use any corporate scripts when we talk to people. We just tell it like it is. If a machine is going to be late because of a blocked road, we say so. We spend a lot of time checking on equipment and making sure the operators have what they need. It’s a lot of coordination and problem-solving. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall; we just have a calendar with deadlines. We like being in New Alipore. It’s a solid place to work and we’ve made a lot of connections here.
