We are located at 42/1 on Bipin Behari Ganguly Street, which is a very old and incredibly busy part of the city. Garg Machinery Udyog has been operating from this area for a good amount of time now. The street outside is always full of handcarts, rickshaws, and people rushing around, so there is never a quiet moment during the day. Our building is one of those traditional structures where the ceilings are high but the rooms are a bit small and the hallways can be quite dark. We deal with various types of machinery, and most of our day is spent on the phone with suppliers or helping customers who come in trying to find a specific part for their workshop. It’s definitely not a modern office with glass walls; it’s more of a place where things actually get done and people don't mind a bit of grease. We keep a lot of our stock tucked away in the back rooms, and sometimes it takes us a little while to climb the ladders and find exactly what someone is looking for. The ceiling fans are always humming to try and keep the humidity at bay. We don’t really bother with much marketing or social media stuff. Most of our regulars have been coming to us for years and they know the way. It’s a hectic life on BB Ganguly Street, but we are just part of the furniture here, focusing on the machines and the people who use them.
